To study the Hartley oscillator 

 Object     

 To study the Hartley Oscillator .

Apparatus

            Connecting wire, CRO with connecting terminals DC power supply, carbon resister .

Formula

            The frequency of oscillation of the oscillator .

                        F = 1/2π√LC Hż

Where,

            L = L₁ + L₂ = Resultant inductance of series combination .

            L₁ . L₂ = Sell inductance of the two Coily.

            C = capacitance of condenser .

1.     L = 20μH

F = 1/2π√LC = 1/2x3.14x20x0.01 = /6.880.2

F = 1/2π√LC = 1/2x3.14 0.01x33

Calculation

1.      The frequency of Hartley oscillator observed.

By using CRO-

F = 0.38  MHz & 0.33MHz

The frequency of Hartley oscillator calculated .

By using the formula

F = 1/2π√LC = 0.36 MHz and 0.28MHz

Theoretical Value –

1.      So μH

T = 15x02x 10⁻⁶

F = 1/ T = 1/15x1.2x10⁻⁶ Hz

F1 = 10/2.6 Hz

0.384 MHz

2. L = 33μH

            T = 15x0.2x10⁻⁶

            F = 0.33 MHz


Result

1.      The frequency of Hartley oscillator

Observed = 0.38 MHz

2.      The frequency of Hartley oscillarator = 0.36 MHz

Precautions

1.      All connection should be high .

2.      Reading of CRO should be take very carefully .

The apparatus should be not kept on for long time .
